The launching of these two smartmobile device units are products of the preliminary tight relationship of Nokia with Microsoft. The partnership was announced in the early months of 2011.
Reports indicate that Nokia is expected to launch Lumia 800 with version 7 of Windows Phone this year.
AT&T Incorporated reported that the company is setting its final decision toward the beginning of carrying AT&T’s smartmobiles devices with Windows Phone by Nokia Corporation on the following year. Thus, Microsoft Corporation will be facing challenges in terms of attracting and making an appeal to customers to veer away from its big rivals like Google Incorporated and Apple Incorporated.
The head of AT&T in emerging devices, Glenn Lurie spoke during the conference of Morgan Stanley which was held in Barcelona, Spain. He reported to Bloomberg BusinessWeek that further details about the agreement of AT&T and Nokia were still yet to be completed, polished, and finalized.
Lurie stated that they are viewing each period of promotions separately and would make a decision as to what they are going to pay out in order to situate their great efforts in.
