iPhone 4s Siri App: The Hardworking Virtual Assistant in Beta

Siri’s Virtual Assistant on iPhone 4S with her best BetaSiri, a built-in application in iPhone 4S smartmobile device, is the perfect personal assistant.  Siri is able to give instructions, answer queries, map things out, reports on weather, and serve as a calendar and secretary.

Larry Greenemeier assessed that Siri could be the perfect virtual personal assistant. Siri of iPhone 4S smartmobile device is getting closer to having keyboard-free function in the future.

When iPhone 4S has been officially released last month, Siri was the most highlighted feature of the smartmobile device. It is also the most-talked about feature as users got excited with it.

Macworld’s editorial director, Jason Snell posted a video on YouTube about his preview on Siri. He illustrated how Siri functions by asking a question that is straightforward that goes, “Where can I grab my lunch?” Through the use of GPS on iPhone, Siri answered, “I have found fourteen restaurants with reviews that mentioned lunch. Twelve of them are quite near to you.”

After Siri answered the first question thrown by Snell, he asked another question, “How about in the area of downtown?”   However, Siri got a little trouble with this kind of question as she answered, “I do not know what you really mean by how about in the area of downtown.’”

With this result, Snell concluded that the Siri software sometimes figure out what the users mean but there are times that it does not function that well.  He stated that this might be one factor why Apple named this as a beta.

In addition, to add a little entertainment for the users, Siri is programmed with a little sense of humor/irony.
