The New York Times wrote that Steve Jobs, co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Apple Incorporated was not really interested in selling Apple products to huge businesses.
During a conference way back in the year 2005, the late CEO said, “There are about five hundred women and men in Fortune 500 that you will have to pass through.” He was pertaining to being disliked and not being comfortable with the process of supplying the needs of big business relatively to those customers that was labeled by Jobs as corporation “orifices” yet are only chief information officers.
Over the past few years, several big companies began to be interested and bought products of Apple for the utilization of their employees.
Surprisingly, iPhone smartmobile devices and iPad tablet device made a symbolic presence in the workplace of big business. However, Apple never really felt this event as the company centered its attention on selling and marketing Mac computers.
Although, Apple has never dropped any comment with regard to this potential venture, hints are shown that the company views a big opportunity of growth on corporate market.
Lowe, a retailer for home entertainment, said that the company bought forty two thousand units of iPhone used by their employees. Employees are able to check inventory and cost estimation for flooring and paintings through their iPhone devices.
On the 3Q earnings calls and conference with Wall Street analysts, Apple executives reported that iPhone deployment on companies of Fortune 500 boasted ninety three percent while iPad had ninety two percent.
